The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is the entity within the Department of Human Services (DHS) responsible for the oversight of Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) services in Pennsylvania.

At Lagom Care, our mission is to empower individuals with developmental (intellectual) disabilities in Pennsylvania to attain increased independence, autonomy, and expanded opportunities in their daily lives, such as:

  • Service to provide supervision and assistance focused on health and safety of the individuals

  • Services to help individuals to gain, maintain, and improve skills that allow them to live and safely act in their community.

  • a service to maintain an individual's comfort within their primary private home. This service consists of chores needed to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe condition while the individual is not present for a period of time or cannot maintain their own space

  • A service that is used as a temporary sense of relief for a primary or family DSS who needs a mental, emotional, or physical break from caring for an individual. Various tasks include meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship. There are two different kinds of respites:

    Respite 15:

    Provided to supervise and support individuals living in private homes on a short-term basis for planned or emergency situations, giving the person(s) normally providing care a period of relief that may be scheduled or due to an emergency.


    Respite 24 (Day):

    Provided to supervise and support individuals living in private homes on a short-term basis for planned or emergency situations, giving the person(s) normally providing care a period of relief that may be scheduled or due to an emergency.
